Welcome to the Advice option of www.lawn.co.uk..

The opportunity was there to set up The Lawn Society so we took it.  There is also a need……

The mission of The Lawn Society is to provide a clear and concise educational portal for ongoing advice on the subject of lawns and their care.

Our ethos for setting up The Lawn Society was an awareness of the difficulties facing amateur lawn owners and some professional turf managers trying to obtain unbiased lawn care advice from a reputable source, technical information that takes into account changes in turf cultural practices and help that is not linked into any particular product or service.

The Lawn Society has already sought affiliation to the Royal Horticultural Society and also seeking Associate Trade Membership of key Turf Advisory Organisations based in the UK and abroad.
Visitors will be able to become a Member of The Lawn Society and receive a Newsletter along with other Member benefits in line with other Gardening Societies.  These benefits will grow as we do.

The web site will in time provide detailed diagnostics of lawn problems and remedies along with useful links related to lawns and their care. Keep returning to this site at frequent intervals to view the latest developments as we construct the site over the next two to three months.

In the short term, until The Lawn Society web site is fully up and running, should you require technical advice, please refer to the Technical Leaflets on the Service web site. The leaflets are free to be downloaded as a PDF document, and we will be quickly adding to the list in the next few months.

Should you like to send us your suggestions on what you would like to see on The Lawn Society web site, please complete the feedback form found on the site and take part in the interactive poll.
